Toronto Curry Awards: Can you handle the heat?
After the success of its inaugural event, the Toronto Curry Awards is returning to the city this summer.
Regarded by many as Canada’s culinary capital and with a burgeoning South Asian foodie scene, Toronto is the perfect place to hold the awards.
Founder and President, Romail Gulzar said: “The Curry Awards are all about spotlighting the fantastic South Asian restaurants and take outs in the city and this year you really won’t want to miss out.”
Food establishments in the GTA are being invited to participate in the event and battle it out in a bid to be crowned the winner in one of the following categories; Best Family Restaurant, Best Take Out, Best Vegetarian Restaurant, Best New Restaurant, Best Fine Dining Restaurant and Restaurant of the Year.
This year, the organisers are delighted to announce that OMNI Television is the official media partner and Associate Sponsors include SANS Catering Supplies and Rubicon Food Products Canada. Other sponsors are KFI Sauces, Shana Foods and Anand International.
As always, the awards will support two charities, the names of which will be revealed soon.
The second Curry Awards will take place on Monday 3 June at Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport.
