2019 Charity Partner revealed

This year we’re delighted to announce that the Toronto Curry Awards have chosen Cancer Warrior as a Charity Partner. The new partnership will work alongside the second event which this year will be held on June 3.

Cancer Warrior aims to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer through the education of symptoms as well as treatments. Launched by mom of two, Navneet Sharma who represents women under the age of 40 diagnosed with breast cancer. When diagnosed in January 2017, she proudly went bald as she underwent rigorous treatment.

Cancer Warrior believes there is no better remedy than family, friends and the community, which is why it is key to build yourself a wall of companions to stand by you through adversity. They hold various events to help raise funds and spread the awareness of breast cancer.

Romail Gulzar, Founder and President of the Toronto Curry Awards said: “We are very excited about this partnership. Breast cancer is something that doesn’t discriminate and can affect any of us, regardless of race, gender and religion so we’re hoping we can help them in as many ways as possible.”

The Toronto Curry Awards will take place on June 3 at Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport.
